Topical Treatments

At the Wound Care Center, we are constantly searching for the best products to fill the needs in our wound care practice. Sometimes there are already technologically advanced products that we can purchase to fulfill the need, other times we have develop a product to fill the void ourselves. Using naturally occurring substances, Dr. Wolcott and other talented laboratory technicians develop topical ointments, gels, creams, sprays and wipes to use on wounds.

Anti Bacterial Biofilm Agent (ABBA): A topical cream including Lactoferrin and Xylitol. (Refrigerate after use.)

Anti Pseudomonal Gel (APG): A topical gel that is most effective against Pseudomonas. (Keep out of direct sunlight.)

The Kitchen Sink (TKS): A topical gel that has a little bit of everything in it. This gel is good against Staph, and is more potent than ABBA. (Keep at room temperature.)

Wound Maintenance Debriders (WMD): These wipes are used in the clinic after the wound has been cleansed with a saline solution. The WMD is good against surface bateria.
